The major market index composites made up for some losses during the latter half of the last trading session in the United States as they followed some recovering commodities to higher ground. Gold price per ounce rates recovered to positive territory for yesterday’s close as its safe haven appeal grew more popular. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended the last session in the green as well. It gained .14 percent on the day. Stock market index trends today will look to finish the week out strong and carry over some of the positive momentum gained during yesterday’s trading session. The positive trends carried over as stocks were positioned for a higher start to the day prior to the opening bell this morning. At that point, Dow Jones Industrial Average stock future analysis revealed that the index composite was green by .14 percent. Currently, as of the mid-day point in today’s trading session, the major market index composites are posting in the red as building pressure has knocked the market down and investors have taken a step back to review the inconsistencies that have changed trendlines over the past week. The Dow dropped 120.11 points or 0.95% to 12,576. The Nasdaq lost 28.64 points or 1.00% to 2,833. The S&P 500 decreased by 12.18 points or 0.90% to 1,336. The Treasuries 10-year yield was down 0.08 to 3.15%. Oil declined 1.05 to $97.98 a barrel. Gold dropped 9.50 to $1497.60. Author: Pamela Frost
